HE²RO is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Jacqui Miot to the position of Division Director. Dr. Miot is a South African health economist and health policy specialist with a PhD in neuropharmacology. She has many years of experience in the private, academic, and public sectors in South Africa, including serving as Head of the Health Economics Unit at Discovery Health, Senior Lecturer in Pharmacology at Wits University, and Vice Chair of the National Department of Health Medicines Pricing Committee. In addition to taking on the role of managing director of HE²RO, she will participate in our research activities, where we hope that her experience with noncommunicable diseases, pharmaceutical pricing, and public health policy will open new areas of inquiry for the organization.
