Celebrating Dr Mmamapudi Kubjane’s PhD Completion: Advancing Public Health Through Innovative Research
Today, we are celebrating Dr Mmamapudi Kubjane on the successful completion of her PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the esteemed School of Public Health at the University of Cape Town (UCT).
Her research, titled “Modelling the South African Tuberculosis Epidemic: The Effect of HIV, Sex Differences, and the Impact of Interventions,”. Her PhD involved extending an existing computer model of HIV in South Africa (the Thembisa model), extending the model to include tuberculosis (TB), and calibrating the model to match multiple South African TB programme data.
