The 2018 South African tuberculosis (TB) prevalence survey identified poor knowledge and awareness of TB symptoms in communities, leading to delayed healthcare-seeking and undiagnosed TB. Digital chest X-ray (dCXR) with computer-aided detection tools can assist in the early diagnosis of TB if deployed using the right care model.
