Dr. Michael Galvin [Fogarty Fellow researcher]
Dr. Michael Galvin will be working as a Fogarty Fellow researcher at HE2RO, examining the relationship between mental health, HIV and the COVID-19 pandemic in South Africa. He is particularly interested in the way local belief systems influence explanatory models of disease, particularly mental illnesses, and how those beliefs impact treatment pathways.
